Since 1937, the recipe for these American pastries has been a source of joy and sharing. And it’s thanks to this recipe that we make our doughnuts fresh every day. Every. Single. Day. It takes a lot of work and precision, but that’s the standard of quality we’ve set for ourselves! That’s what makes our doughnuts the best doughnuts, and that’s why you love them, because every bite is creamy and melt-in-your-mouth delicious.

THE KRISPY KREME DOUGHNUTS RECIPE
The best recipe is always a secret! Ours is based on the American doughnut recipe created by our founder, Vernon Rudolph. We mix wheat flour with yeast and water, and the resulting dough is left to rise for around ten minutes until it reaches the ideal light and airy texture. It is then cut by extrusion under pressure to obtain the right ring or doughnut shape and weight, before entering a second proving chamber where the doughnuts double in size and take on their final shape. They are then fried for a short time, just long enough to turn golden brown. 😍
They are then covered with a delicious sugar glaze, our unique and unrivaled Original Glaze. We prepare this glaze in small batches and very regularly, to guarantee you the freshest possible result and perfect texture.
GOURMET INGREDIENTS AND A UNIQUE FINAL TOUCH
Krispy Kreme has been working on sourcing its ingredients locally in France and Europe since it first opened its doors. Today, the strawberry purée used in our Strawberry doughnuts is French, and our chocolate is made in Belgium.
All of our iconic recipes, such as the filling for our Original Kreme doughnuts, are identical to the American recipes.
Finally, our teams decorate the doughnuts by hand. Each chocolate chip and caramelized hazelnut piece is carefully added to make our doughnuts as beautiful as they are delicious. They are then delivered to our stores every morning, allowing you to enjoy fresh doughnuts every day.
WHERE ARE DOUGHNUTS MADE IN FRANCE?
Each doughnut is made in Paris, and (soon) in a second workshop in the inner suburbs… We’re expanding! We are proud to be completely transparent about our production, because everything is prepared on site in our largest store at Westfield Forum des Halles, in Châtelet, and our doughnut theater is open for all to see. A Krispy Kreme treat will always be a fresh product, decorated by hand by a Krispy Kreme member of our exceptional team with real expertise.

It’s the sign of delicious news 🍩 Every day at 5 PM, our sign changes color and turns red in our largest shop at Westfield Forum des Halles in Châtelet, as Original Glazed doughnuts come out all hot from the workshop. A delicious smell fills the air, and until 7 PM, our team distributes them to customers in the queue. Soft, warm, and fluffy doughnuts, light as a cloud; enjoy them immediately or take them away in a box of 6 or a box of 12, within the limits of our production capacities!
Yes, they are all vegetarians. 😊
No. Some countries offer a vegan dough recipe, but it is not the case in France currently.
Krispy Kreme doughnuts are made fresh every day to ensure every bite is perfect. They are taken off sale in the evening, and new ones arrive fresh the next day. That’s why they’re the best doughnuts in Paris!
It is fried to achieve this beautiful golden appearance.
Ideally, they should be eaten on the same day to enjoy their full softness. You can store them in their original packaging at room temperature. You don’t need to keep them refrigerated.
In all Krispy Kreme stores, you can create your own assortment or choose one that we have already prepared for you, in boxes of 6 or 12. With our signature recipe, the Discovery assortment, or Choose Your Own format, each box of doughnuts is unique to you!
On your birthday, you can enjoy a complimentary doughnut if you are a member of our loyalty program. We do not yet offer personalized “birthday” doughnuts.
